about us

‘WAHB’ started as an acronym for white asian hispanic black, an anti-racist, artistic slogan embodying the belief of breaking down barriers between people of different ethnic backgrounds. the meaning behind WAHB was formed when we were just kids - our group of friends was questioned for hanging out with each other because we were all different races. but instead of separating us, that questioning brought us closer, and made us even more proud to be together. 

as we grew into teenagers, we only appreciated our differences more, and so on july 8, 2006, we came up with the term WAHB, which defined all of the different races within our friend group.

our friendship has continued into adulthood, growing stronger even as we’ve branched out into different jobs, cities, relationships and hobbies. At this point, we’re no longer just friends - we’re family.

in 2025, we redefined 'WAHB' to embody a universal truth: our mission is to promote unity and acceptance, reminding us that despite our differences in color, appearance, and background, we are all fundamentally the same — we.are.human.beings.
